I know Nas is one. He came out with Illmatic in 1994 and since then, he's always been dropping ill shit. On the other hand, Busta Rhymes used to be tight, now he's doing shit like "we gettin arab money".

Knowsayin?

Another thing you must learn on this forum: never speak any good about Nas.

lmao @ anyone mentioning Canibus. He has stopped making good music, and y'all know it. He can't spit a 8 bar verse without filling it with punch-ins. A shame.

Anyways, Masta Ace.

Half of the rappers y'all mention I don't really consider to be "old" ....

"Old" rappers in my opinion are the ones like Ice-T , Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One , Rakim, GZA ....
You know the ones who were born in the 60's ....

Rappers who were born in the 70's are not that old to me....

Not old like a 70 year old. I'm saying old like they made their first appearances many years back.

Well, I'm a big Canibus fan and a big Kool G Rap, and the tracks they've done together has been awesome, but it's 2009 and I got no hope for it. Like I said, Canibus can't spit 8 bars without punching-in. He just doesn't make enjoyable music anymore, so whether his lyrics is hot or not doesn't really matter anymore.
