my fav steely dan song. it's jazzy but the lyrics are depressing as fuck. lol
"learn to work the saxophone, i play just what i feel/
drink scotch whiskey all night long, and die behind the wheel/
they got a name for the winners of the world... i want a name when i lose
they call alabama the crimson tide, call me deacon blues"

I apparently know more Steely Dan than I was aware of. I've heard and always like the first two, that last one is lil' too elevator music for me (atleast at the moment )

I'm a fan through my father, he has a shit load of Steely Dan and they're one of the earliest bands I can remember listening to.

Only albums i've heard of their's is Aja and Gaucho. Aja album has the good songs Black Cow(Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz sampled this for Deja Vu song), Deacon Blues, Peg. Gaucho album has the good songs Babylon Sisters, Time Out Of Mind, Hey Nineteen, Third World Man(Naughty By Nature sampled this for Live Or Die song with Silkk The Shocker and Mystikal). Donald Fagen who's the lead singer of Steely Dan did a solo album called The Nightfly that my father has. It's a pretty good album.
