I've always liked tracks by DJ Dan, there's a lot of kinds of house out there so what's good is gonna atleast partially depend on you. Some don't like it at all but I grew up in the heydays of the Austin rave scene, that scene in the Matrix II when everyone's dancing, they're not too far off. Great times.

I'm just a casual listener when it comes to this
but Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport cd is amazing. It always brings up strong mushroom tripping and high school memories though

I was a big fan of house music back in the dAy
I was more into the l a scene
Listening to djs like
Richard vission
Dj irene
Bad boy bill
Dj bam bam
What hurts is I hAd an absolutely hard to find deep house c d of pure l a house from back in the day
And, and I gave it to my cousin. , I let him borrow it but I don't want to ask him if he still had it.
It turns out I think he doesn't have it
I hope he has it. It has a lot of sentmental value to me
I think they don't make it any more. It a called house into my world vol 1
DAmn it hurts
You may be able to find it in the l a area but I doubt it
They used to sell them like at swapmeets and stuff
Some house c ds were like mixed by d j s but the songs were dope. I meant like sometimes you wouldn't even know who the d j was
The music was great though. I miss 90 s house
Especially that cd that i had
Damn that sucks.
If any body in the l a area has a series of house music CDs called rhythm of house, hit me up. !
Any body who has any type of house music
Hit me up

the d j dan was kind of techno ish in the beginning but it's pretty nice
I liked the one with the turn table though
Dj dan is pretty cool, I still like house
I'll listen to the rest later on
You don't have any more tracks ?
nice tracks though.
Some body should make an all house thread with nothing but house or trance
Forget the typo

What exactly is house? And whats the difference between Trance & Techno?
You know when you hear it but kinda hard to define (there's alot of house out there)
Techno and Trance are different (its easier for you to hear it yourself)
Tech-breaks (techno fused with breakbeats)
TM6DxT5-jjs
Trance (that consistent, pounding kick---house has it too but the kick swings with house, gives that bouncing feel with it)

House gets dated really quickly. Unlike Hip Hop, House doesn't have a "5 Mic" list of albums, and there are many sub-genres such as Chicago house (started there), progressive house (late 90's, favorite genre), deep house (late 90's to early 00's), dub-step/minimal/ambient house/electro (not a fan, modern). Trance followed House music, but has a higher Beat per minute count and imo sounds forced.
Most house listeners are producers/DJ themselves. It takes a lot of patients to listen and then like a House album... that said, it is my favorite form of music and I was introduced to Hip Hop first.
The "Global Underground," "Fabric," "Renaissance" Series are all pretty good. The older ones will sound Very dated and chaotic though. Think 1970-80's Hip Hop.

Best way to listen to a House mix: by not paying active attention to it and with great speakers. Or drugs (even alcohol) that will make time seem to flow faster.

Some old school Chicago house legends are Fast Eddie, Kool Rock Steady (who had a brief beef with KRS One over their names), Farley "Jackmaster" Funk. People post a lot of house music on Youtube. I'm from Chicago so I had no choice but to listen to House music or Crucial Conflict (LOL) back in the days. At least now we have Kanye, Lupe, & more house.
