Embedding videos as comments?

On our profile page we aren't allowed to leave youtubes as comments. Why? I think it would even cut down on all the ppl leaving embedded vids everywhere for no reason. Might even cut down on ppl having them in the sig.

nonetheless even if its not a problem posting them other places , why is it a problem posting them as comments on our pages?

That also has to do with youtube and wshh being plugins, also the comment page being a new feature to the new vb version. That means there might not be anything to do that yet. Allowing embedding in the visitor messages isn't a permission that can be flicked on at this point.

It's only a problem when there are many embeddings in a post or sig but that can't be restricted, only moderated.
