I'm surprised this game hasn't been talked about here yet!
It'll be an absolute banger, but it's been pushed back like forever now.

From what I could read on a Swedish game site it will be released for X360, PS3 and PC.

You will be able to play as infantry, in squads, where you will give orders to the other team soldiers,
but also be able to drive several different types of vehicles like cars, tanks, planes etc.

There will be co-op play during campaign for up to 4 players for the consoles,
Multiplayer with up to 24 players, even more for PC: 36 players can participate at the same time.

No actual release date yet, I'll bet this will be the game of the year!

Check out these pictures from the web site:

It's going to be the sequel to the greatest AND the best war game ever, but I think Armed Assault II is going to be better, since the dudes that made the first game and the two expansions are working on it.

Well, we'll see.

is Armed Assualt a console game or PC only? never heard of it before...

Armed Assault was a PC exclusive, but it lacked a campaign [they rushed with the release]...now the second one...well, check the videos, and compare...I'm pretty certain OPF2 is going to be lesser of two.

I'll have about a month and a half to play ODST before this game comes out, then about a month to play this before Modern Warfare 2 comes out - this fall will be sweet!

Not as good as I expected.

Most enemies get shot by your teammates before you can come close, that's wack.

Anyone else played it yet?

I'll wait for some releases, cuz I'm still a sceptic, but if it's going to be a dope game, a nice sequel to OPF, than I'm buying it [even tho the greedy bastards at Codemasters don't deserve any money]

I'ma wait until after new years to get this one,
I'm still very into ODST, and The Ballad of Gay Tony will be released soon, then Modern Warfare is next, so I wouldn't dedicate much time to this game if I got it now.

The games ok, alot of walking about. but its different, shooting a guy is pretty hard and most combat is from a distance. there isnt alot of guns in the game and the AI can be retarded sometimes. most missions are the same though, its you walking a long distance to take out Anti-Air or a mortar crew. thats about it. It isnt long either, theres only something like 11 missions and each mission if your good can be done with ease.

but if you play on hardcore mode you get no checkpoints in the game, so when you die you restart the mission, which is jus fucking gay.

i aint played co-op or multiplayer yet.

^^in the first one you could only saved once in a mission, which was fucking brilliant.

don't like the second one, it's just boring, the missions just aren't as fun as before and even tho, ArmA2 was a letdown too, I recommend it more than this. This clearly isn't 7 or 8 years work. I can't believe that Modern Warfare 2 is going to be better.
