View Full Version : Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Heeeeere's Deadpool

The recent film X-Men Origins: Wolverine crushed the spirits of many a merry Marvel fan. Deadpool (http://stars.ign.com/objects/923/923963.html), the beloved "Merc with a Mouth," was turned into a bizarre science experiment gone wrong. For those worried the old Deadpool you love is gone for good in Marvel-licensed videogames, rest easy. As reported earlier this month, the comic-book version of Deadpool is one of the 24 playable characters in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/979/979092p1.html).

As can be seen from the brand new trailer below, Deadpool has his familiar costume from the comics and none of the baggage of X-Men Origin: Wolverine's weak plot points. Deadpool is an acrobatic character who mixes gunplay with hand-to-hand combat moves. His animations were influenced by Parkour and his attacks are notably more extravagant than other characters.

As with every character in MUA 2, Deadpool has a unique fusion power with each one of his allies. One of the more potent fusion moves is when Deadpool teams with Hulk. The green behemoth rips up a chunk of the ground and tosses it in the air, while Deadpool teleports onto the its surface, spreads grenades on the debris and leaps to safety as it explodes.
