View Full Version : The Power of Myth

An interview with Joseph Campbell. One of the foremost experts on world mythology, his view is to look at the stories from a macro view to see how they all relate to each other and what they say about us both as individuals and collectively. This is a good series here that doesn't need to be watched all at once (I haven't made my way through all of them myself) Feel free to discuss any of the topics touched upon.

here's a video trailer to give you an idea of what's being discussed, don't sleep on this thread, what's presented is way too interesting for that

the board is sleeping on some real knowledge up in this place

So many good discussions to be had. The difference between the European and Chinese dragon for instance. Do they reflect the cultural subconscience of these differernt societies?

I've watched all the videos.

It is deep and touches on a lot of subjects.

It reminds me of story archetypes.

We are all in a story and play an archetype, imo.
