When it comes to a group like Led Zep, there is no such thing as a bad album.

Some of my favourites are III, and IV......however.....my first choice is kinda weird.....my favourite is CODA...even though some people dont even consider that an "official" album because of the era it dropped. However, I had the vinyl of Coda when I was very young and it grew on me when I didnt have that many albums to listen to.

IV, When the Levee Breaks seals the deal for me. Not to mention Stairway to Heaven, but When the Levee Breaks is just insane

The IV is my favorite...no doubt...and what a cover... A masterpiece.

IV, every song on there is classic. Houses of the Holy was close though.

i find led zep albums to be pretty inconsistent. they usually have like 3 incredible songs and 5 or 6 boring songs (in the case of physical grafitti, multiply those numbers by 2). houses of the holy is my favorite, i think, i like pretty much every track on there

The Watcher

The debut album is just phenomenal...IV is legendary. Which flick was it, "Dazed and Confused" maybe, talking about side A of the IV album?

"Presence" is best. "Coda" isn't "official" not because the era it dropped in, but because it was all extra stuff from their whole career that didn't make it to the albums. (Think Nas "Lost Tapes") They didn't sit down and write that album like the others...

Jimmy Page sat and wrote the first 3 albums and aa lil of four b4 the band had even really been official. Thats dope. Who else can you say planned their shit like that. Not Sabbath.

01-10-2007, 11:51 AM
where did you hear that? Page wrote almost everything for sure but i remember an interview with them talking about releasing 3. they talked about how the label wanted another "Zep 2" but they were just feeling some other shit at that time. did Page say it? and Sabbath sux lol-

01-10-2007, 11:56 AM
Page said it yes. Guitar world has had extensive interviews with him insisting tell alls and thats what he has givin them thru the years.
I have read almost everything I could about Led Zepp.

They couldnt have a Led Zep 2 again because the songs that made 1 and 2 so great were just remakes of blues songs. Jimmy would arrange them differently and try to make them new(ala hip-hop). they got sued though years later by the families of the old blues players for that though.

With 3 , Jimmy knew he had to chill on that shit.

Robert Plant also never recieved credits for the first few albums. The band had a wierd contract or some shit. I think it worked out to his advantage that he didnt get credit at first. Not sure about that one.

yo...HOTH is good, but it seems a bit over rated to me...i dont find myself so interested with it....3 id good because of the immigrant song and......

Tangerine. (fav zep song)

05-22-2007, 09:48 PM
I always felt that HOTH was over rated. I LOVE the Ocean though.

Favorite song is "the Lemon song"

What about Zepp covers. That Econium(sp?) album was alright. The Page/plant shit kinda sux cuz Plant's vocals are gone now.

i (luckily) have a copy.

Physical Graffiti. Even the 'shit' songs like Wanton Song and Black Country Woman are awesome.

05-23-2007, 06:04 AM
IV does the magic for me...its some sort of rock Bible, like Coldplay's Rush of blood to the Head is a soft-rock-bible :)

05-23-2007, 09:55 AM
Physical Graffiti - one of the greatest albums of all time.

Really hate Coldplay. Just makes me wanna kill myself like Dido.

05-23-2007, 10:14 AM
Coldplay doesn't even make people want to kill themselves for the right reasons. It makes you want to die, because this is what's 'popular'. It's like somebody ass-raping your tastes right in front of you when you quantify exactly how corny and mediocre Coldplay truly are.

05-23-2007, 10:26 AM
I actually like that Coldplay album. I have half of it on my hard drive. The other half kinda made me feel like how you say above. There other stuff is horribly homo.
