that movie is so fascinating
have you watched the restored version or the one with giorgio moroder soundtrack?
fritz lang apparently fled germany because they wanted him to work of fascist propaganda films
the design and art direction in the movie is still provacative
i bet beyonce doesn't even know what she's wearing lol

i'll bet that thing is barely containing that ass
the pressure built up inside from those meaty thighs and buttcheeks swoll up against the metal could blow at any minute and somebody could be killed
the movie seems interesting tho

^^^i'll check that out
metropolis should be easy to find online
it's really a veiled socialist allegory...but some of the concepts and imagery have been hugely influential on science fiction cinema
your local library may also have a copy
i know it also airs on american movie classics and turner classic movies occasionally, that's the last time i watch it, about 4 am with my roomate smoking hashish

i'm watching it now - been watching for 3 days now - but i want to see the unedited version - i don't know if what i'm watching is the unedited version..........
once you watch the industry, you'll never view metropolis the same way again
...but some of the concepts and imagery have been hugely influential on science fiction cinema
its frighteningly influential on way too many other things too

^^if it has an overabundance of 'text cards' explaining actions or entire scenes that you think should've been given some visual representation, than you're probably watching an edit , which was all that was available for decades.
as far as i know the missing footage was only found a year or two ago in south america.
are you referring to the occult imagery and symbology at work in the movie or the ideological component?
look we live in a society where mind altering glamors and soul destroying sigils are in every facet of life from advertising to corporate symbols
i will give that industry a look when i have some time...you know how watching a movie on a computer is not the most pleasant lol
