yo i only got a casio, like a 99 dolla joint, real fuckin tr00 and kvlt


i made like 5,000 beats on it in the last like 7 years, no samples, pretty much just me and some keys.
1/1, 4/4, 8/8, 16/16 measure loops, and tempos anywhere from 30 bpm to 255

my biggest enemy on this thing, besides all the other godawful casio shit, is the drum kit. it's so shitty, and i'm not very good at making the drums anyways

alot of my tracks sound similar i'd say, but my friends, who don't want to hurt my feelings just tell me that that's my "signature sound" bwaha

i can never get anyone to rap on one though

and i'm all for criticism, just don't tell me it sounds like shit because it was made with a casio

i actually went thru a few pages of the red baron account. nice stuff in there. retro sound but has a modern vibe to the melodies and composition

alot of times when i make a beat, i kind of envision the melodies as background music for maybe 16 or 32 bit games

or just whatever image is in my mind, try and turn it into sound or some shit i dunno


one thing i really want to learn how to do is make those 8-bit chip beats
