also u can get a 100$ blu ray player at walmart...but no net connection for updating software..so when new movies comes out..it might not play em unless they put a update on a web sit..and u burn it to a disk ...

Went Blu around late January and am very satisfied with it. My collection is small right now and probably not the best collection of movies that would be best to watch in high definition but some titles worth getting for Blu-Ray is Tropic Thunder, King Kong, WATCHMEN, anything Disney Pixar (I own Wall-E and A Bug's Life and look amazing), 300(Simply stunning) and Casino Royale. Also, you might want to check out Blu-ray.com (http://www.blu-ray.com/). They have reviews and news on all Blu-Rays available.

My blu-ray collection has been steadily growing. Im not into getting old movies on blu, just primarily the new blockbusters or just new flicks in general, although I did pick up Tango & Cash but that was just because I saw that it was cheaper than the dvd strangly enough..but it does look good in HD.

Average Blu-Ray player cost 200 bucks, PS3 is like 400.. if ps3 was 300 i would consider it

I'm tempted to buy it for my room but no Wi-Fi is a deal breaker for me. I believe you can use a usb and download and put the firmware update on it and then in the player but I really don't want to go through all that.

I have around 30 or 40, something like that. I prefer to hold off on blu rays unless it's like a sfx movie or animated film, comedies and dramas seem pointless to own on the format so for me are not worth the extra expense.

I kept away from blu rays for a long time because i have so many DVDs and didn't wanna
"mess up" my collection but then went I bought a brand new hi def 3D TV, I had to start copping blu rays, i only got about 20 so far though. I wouldn't really rebuy any, the only one i re bought was Psycho anniversary edition.

I think i'm in the 50-60 range as far as blu-rays. I'm not going to convert all of my movies though. I'm especially not converting any of those expensive ass Criterion joints.
