I just saw this recently. I guess it would be classified as a sci fi type of movie. There was some corny stuff in it. The woman who played the young girl's mom did a bad job of trying to act emotional. Though, overall I liked the movie and enjoyed the ending. Thoughts on it?

LMAO!
the whole thing was kinda corny son
the whole son who is unique and does what he does thing
blonde dudes showing up in the woods every ten seconds like theyre the wachowski brothers twins or somethin
i almost switched it off when the dad just casually added the numbers up to fit scenarios over his morning coffee
and yea that horrible tramp was well, horrible lol

the only thing i liked about it is that nick cage finally cut his awful hair

It was alright. I did laugh at the scenes when that girl went to the gas station and just started screaming at everybody when her car was stolen by those ppl.

though it was crap...more hollywood exploitation of apocalyptic anxiety
nicholas cage does alot of bullshit for a presumably good check (i made it about a 1/2 hour into national treasure before i couldn't stomach anymore)...which is a shame because he's a good actor
