Hes copying Wayne with that whole 3 stripes shit

idk, its interesting, a bit camp though. It does make Cuban2 look even more amateurish considering theyre both out teh same time

Hes obviously using this to try to crossover into other markets, like Kanye did with his covers. Covers are important.

album cover looks nice and clean but as mentioned above not what you'd expect from Jay-Z.. the cover to "Blueprint" is real dope and this does't add up. tracklist looks nice though, hopefully Kanye delivers and Timbaland's beat ain't horseshit!

^^ true, Jay-Z's always been incredible at moving with the times and updating his formula while still staying relevant to his old followers. that's probably his strongest point as far as the music goes, and of course the fact that he packs an extreme amount of talent.

i like it
glad to see a major hip hop album cover that's not just a shot of a guy's face or a dude standing around with a sklyine in the background

is that definitely the cover though, i know the tag says it is on his site, but the dimensions are slightly off

Ch'ien (heaven):

Three solid lines were used to symbolize heaven. The heaven is strong and has divine power to provide infinite space to accommodate all. Using three solid lines to represent heaven is very appropriate for its supreme being.

LMAO!!! @ the cover.

Why do the instruments look like they are in an examination room... and why the fuck are the 3 lines red??? This is retarted cover. Art direction had to be headed by Kanye's dumb ass SMH... His album is probably going to be some digital produced shit anyway, so why all the instruments lol.

Lets see if Kanye can lift himself up as a producer on this one, because that last album was a mess.

The cover is nothing special but I like the meaning of it.

Jay-Z is going to blow the competition away with this one.

Kanye produces nothing but bangers for Jay-Z.

That's the problem with assumptions, you take the chance of being wrong. And it's more like disgust, which is above hatred because it's not blind and meaningless. His shit is soft, temporary and ultimately garbage in the grand scheme of true, lasting, meaningful Hip-Hop. Hate? No, no fear of expressing my opinion, regardless as to how many people may actually like shit as opposed to sugar, yes. Have a nice day.

I was completely joking....I thought the =P would illustrate that. I'm glad people voice their opinions on here it was it makes it interesting to read shit...

I agree about assumptions, also why I used the word when I wasn't being serious.

All good man. I should have used a word less strong than hate, and it probably would have been more clear I wasn't serious.

I'm no great fan of the guy by any means, but he's made 10+ albums that have all gone platinum in a 13 year career of making albums and a 20 year career overall if you count originators and hawaiian sophie shit lol...not temporary at all and he's outlasted many of his contemporaries. Now if you think he's soft, garbage, and generally sucks that's fine...but he's no fly-by-night mc.

"Brooklyn (Go Hard)" was recorded for the Notorious Soundtrack and can be found there so ain't no sample problem. "Jockin' Jay-Z" is probably too old and it was never even that good imo.
