England was hit really bad by the recession. the economy has shrunk badly. the lack of jobs stems from too many ppl having similar qualifications. theres a massive demand for Doctors and Engineers but not to many ppl have those qualifications. everyone else is left to battle out in a tough job market. which is leaving alot of ppl unemployed.
the economic recession helped me out alot though, house prices dropped badly and i was able to mortgage a house. it also made my stockpiles of euros more valuable in pounds and dollars.

It's been a serious fuck up, I was talking to my boss not long ago and he was talking about possible wage reductions.

another thing is the media have been telling us about recession and shit and it taken ppl to a point where they are scared to go out and buy stuff. so ppl are spending less cause they feel that right now saving up is the best. when it aint. ppl need to spend. its the only way shit will get back to normal.

ATL main industries, telecom, isp, adult, tourism, drugs. are still going strong.
the housing market is shot to hell. i just got my proprty tax in the mail and yeah the bill was cut in 1/2 but i lost 38k in equity.
we have a water crisis, GA, FL and AL are stealing water from eachother.
some peoiple within the city have water bills up %1000 from last year.
the mayor is cutting education and police budgets so i expect a nice backlash of crime to hit soon.
but we are good...for now.

we are bout to get casinos.
HUGE mistake. just ask michigan.
Hasn't affected me personally much to be honest. I still get paid the same amount and things seems to be the same price as before. I might have worked a little less than I usually would though, cause I'm just a "runner" (at Richer Sounds - hi-fi stores) and it's not vital that I work all the time.
I'm benefitting from the pound being shit though, cause most of my graphics clients are American and the dollar is a lot more valuable than before to us

When the shit hit the fan the dollar was at all time record highs at about $0.95AUD to $1US and fell down to about $0.60AUD but now is steadily climbing and is keeping at its highest points since last year at around $0.83.
I think petrol actually went down but it's all academic since petrol is atleast 50c per litre higher than it should be and since the two major supermarket chains have their dick in the petrol business they just jack up the prices of food to get their money back anyway.
As for job openings, plenty of oppurtunity for first year Apprentice child care workers.
