I was reading the Gucci Mane thread and i started to think
when will another transformation of rap occur
I think that a lot of southern artists are giving the south a bad name
its not that i dont agree with what they rap about (even though I dont)
its just that the lyrical content isnt very high, iguess its club music or whatever

I cant believe the trash thats being played on 106th
some is alright and even catchy like that ice cream paint job song
but those Lil Boosie songs are pure trash imo

I understand that they are getting they're money
but i wish quality music was being made

i'm not hating on the south because some of my fav artists from back in the day are southern

Geto Boys , ScarFace, Big Mike, Slim Calhoun, OutKass
and isnt Top Authority from the south too

Why is your definition of quality music more valid than another's?

u got a point
it really isnt

it just seems like the majority of the music that is made now a days
is shallow

i guess its a personal and preference thing

It would be funny if 15 years from now, people will be saying how Soulja Boi was such a good rapper and changed the rap game and everything.

Yeah, i was being a cunt.

But i mean, some of the most revered rock music of the last 50 years has had the similarly boring, shallow lyrical content.

I personally just hate the beats this guy raps over and his arrhythmic flow.

I can see why some people dig it though, because it's unashamedly rubbish lyrically, which i can respect to a degree.

there is so much rap its almost humorous to think a certain demographic is "killing" it ... but then again i've always resided in the underground so i never had a problem with fake emcees in my circumference !!!

i listened in low and high quality
but i couldnt here the lyrics good

the music was a little too loud
and there was too much going on in the music

if the instrumental was more simple
it would be easier to hear the lyrics

well i only listened to South Paw
the other songs couldve had better quality

15 years from now people will only remember Sound Theory and the impact it made to the scene.

After listnening to Sound THeory, why would any artist even bother making another album?
