I feel the blues is a perfect picture of how African Americans lived post slavery, and how life was on a day to day. I get lost listening to some of these tracks, trying to distinguish hidden messages, hearing my grandmother's voice and the way she told stories. If you do the research on some of these artists they had 10Xs a crazier life than most of the rappers now a days. Also a large portion of these dudes recorded in the 20s and 30s, than disappeared until the "revival" back in the mid 60s. If anyone is into this stuff, I'll continue to post more.
