Recording computer sound

anybody know how?
i tried MP3myMP3 & Audacity but it wasn't recording shit...
anyone know how to do this or, if i was using the right apps, what settings to use?

all i did was install the app & hit record... obviously i did something wrong.

sony acid can do it. or just google "soundcard recorder", you'll probably find some freeware.
