I played the hell out of the tune a few months back. Road to Zion was a fuckin classic too.. but the rest of the album is so-so. I like a few of the tunes.. u cant compare him to his dad. Some critics were saying that he is fronting coz he is actually rich and went to a posh school where all the other kids were sons of diplomats n shit. But it dont really matter, he made a couple of ill tunes.

There are like 100 remixes of welcome to jamrock too.. every rapper wanted to rip that beat.

anybody caught his live act? Him and Steven came down to Austin and lit that mothafuca up! That was one of the best shows I've ever been to. Reggae live is absolutly amazing, better than it ever sounded thru the stero no matter how dope the system is.

I agree, Halfway Tree is better, but Welcome to Jamrock is better than Mr. Marley.

I can't believe it's took Jr Gong this long to break through....people really been sleepin' on him, thinkin' this is his first album and shit..

yeah i def been feelin jr gong, road to zion is ill beyond belief. great collab with nas. in response to an earlier comment. damian has music with a message, you can feel the soul, but he will never be bob. nobody will ever come close to bob, the man is amongst the greatest to ever live.

I am just glad that his talent is worthy of his father's name, it's nice to see that legacy continue

I just bought this today. It is a pretty good album, ive listened to it thru once and on 1st listen id give it a 7.5 out 10, but will grow on me for sure. He has very thought provoking lyrics just like his father. Plus some good instrumentals. A few songs wa bland, like that song w/ Black Thought even tho the lyrics is good, which reminds me of ppl i know. Def a high reccommendation.

Wow. Don't give me any of this ridiculous shit about Damian being better than Ziggy or anywhere near Bob. Fucking ridiculous. Damian has some good songs, but he clings on to his fathers music too much. Every cd he has, has at least one of his fathers songs on it. Most of the time he adds shit and loses the point his father was trying to make. On Jamrock he covers his dads song Pimper's Paradise. Wow. Starts decent, has a decent moral to it, doesn't copy his father word for word, but he says some stupid shit... One of his lines is that the girl has more miles than an Avis car. Fucking ridiculous, leave out the stupid analogies and you'll get respect from me.
