Surreptitious

Urban Meyer has resigned as head coach of the University of Florida. I hear that he has had two heart attacks that they covered up as anxiety attacks.

My parents went to Florida, my sister and brother in law went to Florida. This sucks. I wish him the best.

Wow, this is a huge blow to Florida.

Meyer was the best coach in college football right now and Florida was on a roll.

Its going to hurt recruiting, not to mention all of the people that are going to leave, mainly Tebow.

WOW....i firmly believe its because of health reasons because there is no reason he would resign like this if he had a job lined up.

GZAjector
12-26-2009, 07:06 PM
he grew up outside of cleveland

if he lied about having heart attacks, then he can lie that that was the reason he resigned.

he'll be the browns coach in 2011

i'm telling you mang i know these things

Olive Oil Goombah
12-26-2009, 07:08 PM
lol....he is NOT going to be the Browns coach.

If Mangini gets fired, its more than likely going to be either Gruden or Cowher..

u guys are smoking crack right now.

GZAjector
12-26-2009, 07:20 PM
here's how i see it playing out, through the smoke of my crystal crackpipe

1 mangini gets another year

2 sucks a big pecker and is fired 6 games into it

3 interim coach finishes out the season and sucks as well

4 urban meyer becomes the coach and no one is butthurt in florida because he took time off to "heal"

5 the browns continue to suck

Olive Oil Goombah

The Browns are going to get better quicker than people think IF and only IF this draft is a good one for them.

They have 11 picks which they should spend on DEFENSE and a QB

GZAjector
12-26-2009, 07:29 PM
which qb do you like?

too bad locker stayed in school, that was my qb wish for the skins

Olive Oil Goombah
12-26-2009, 07:35 PM
well i did like Locker, but i didnt want them to spend a 1st rounder on him.

As of now, I like Bradford but i dont kno where he will go. LeFavour from teh MAC is good.

I think we can find a decent QB a little later.

My first round pick would be Suh from Nebraska, but we wont have the first pick so, I like Gary Berry at DB or one of the top Linebackers.

ever notice how re-sign and resign are spelled the same? shit like that can get confusing

Surreptitious
12-26-2009, 07:44 PM
Florida will be fine if they can get Dan Mullen back, on another note...

The one qb you dont want is Clausens faggot ass, that kid isnt a leader and he is generally overrated

Olive Oil Goombah
12-26-2009, 07:49 PM
I like Clausen better than I do Brady Quinn, i will tell you that.

But until i look at Mel Kipers big board, i really cannot say.

I just dont want another defensive end.....we need Secondary first and foremost then Linebackers.

Surreptitious
12-26-2009, 07:52 PM
yall desperately need another weapon on offense as well

Surreptitious
12-26-2009, 08:02 PM
now I'm hearing from Gainesville that its a brain tumor, smh, that would be awful

Olive Oil Goombah
12-26-2009, 08:04 PM
well, i actually like Massaquoi at reciever....he has big play potential and Robiskie is a solid number two.
The offensive line is good.

The running backs will be good two. Harrison is the real deal, James Davis and Chris Jenning both can play.

Most of the guys on our offense are rookies, but they all can play and in fact the offense has been better since they have been playing.

We do need a QB....badly

Mike Holmgren should appoint himself the coach of the Browns.

Olive Oil Goombah
12-26-2009, 11:01 PM
no....he should stick with Mangini

12-26-2009, 11:06 PM
Holmgren could turn the Browns around. That guido should leave.

Mic Tyson
12-26-2009, 11:30 PM
no....he should stick with Mangini

^^^^^this.

and i think urban meyer would suck as a pro coach

Olive Oil Goombah

Mangini has done a good job this year with a dysfunctional team and organization.

The Browns started playing well after they got rid of all the overrated divas on the team.....Jamal Lewis, Braylon, Winslow.

They have cut back on penalties and the young guys have really played well. They have a ton of injuries on defense but they have shown significant improvement the last 4 weeks.

Mangini deserves another year. He has handled all the turmoil well. Starting over AGAIN would be stupid.

ok, without reading whatever anybody else said, i find it peculiar that they announced this before their bowl game. why not wait until afterwards?

2nd, cohwer will not be coaching the browns any time soon. he told the rooney's that he wouldn't coach the browns out of respect for them. also, cowher could have any job in the nfl, why would he choose the 2nd worst organization in the league? (the 1st being the raiders)

Olive Oil Goombah
12-27-2009, 01:24 AM
your right it wont be cowher.

its gruden or mangini

Art Vandelay
12-27-2009, 01:36 AM
honestly, i can't see gruden taking that job either.

Olive Oil Goombah
12-27-2009, 01:42 AM
the job is a diamond in the rough......great fan base, footballs birthplace, historic team......its a great sell, and now that Holmgren is running things, its a step in the right direction.

Thing is, any local boys would coach the Browns. They are so unbelievaabley beloved.

I dont really kno why, but they are.

feel sorry for the guy, even tho I'm a 'Canes fan

Art Vandelay

great fan base, historic team..

this describes the pittsburgh pirates, too. doesn't make them a coaches dream.

Olive Oil Goombah
12-27-2009, 09:52 AM
well the difference is that the Lerners have billions and are willing to spend and dont ever try to compare the Pirates tot eh Browns again.

no way in hell gruden coachs the browns. the browns fucking blow. not even the god belichick could do anything at the browneyes. that team is just a black hole.

i could see shanahan coaching the browns though for some reason, if the redskins or cowboys dont snatch him up.

Olive Oil Goombah
12-27-2009, 10:15 AM
Gruden is from toledo and grew up a browns fan, and if you watched the monday night game he was basically auditioning for the job.

the team is reallly not a black hole, it has just been mismanaged. Mangini has it going int he right direction tho, so i'd rather they stick with him.

Why would you think Shanahan would coach here and not Gruden??? that makes no sense, Shanahan has no connection here.

hectis
12-27-2009, 11:00 AM
Gruden is not coming back next season

Olive Oil Goombah
12-27-2009, 11:41 AM
