Another awesome release from last week is the SLUM VILLAGE (http://www.myspace.com/slumvillage) digital EP called VILLA MANIFESTO (http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/villa-manifesto-ep/id345254366)... Featuring 6 tracks expected to appear on their forthcoming 2010 album, I'm pretty sure that these are some of the final verses spit by original member BAATIN (http://www.myspace.com/baatinsmanager), who unfortunately passed away last August...

So far, my favorite jam on this EP is called "Dope Man"... With a beat produced by YOUNG RJ (http://www.myspace.com/youngrjrice) that seems phat enough to resurrect J DILLA (http://www.myspace.com/jdilla) himself, it's nice to see these Detroit rappers end the year on a high note... This also makes their upcoming release one of my most anticipated listens for 2010... Bring that shit to me!
