bonus DJ-set with Diamond cutting up a bunch of real classic breaks. for those that don't know Diamond's always been insane on the wheels of steel - check the Ultimate Force LP from '89 if you don't believe that (or just check the mix)!

CHECK IT (http://238beats.blogspot.com/2010/01/diamond-d-cutting-up-classic-breaks-on.html?zx=206c038c77a8f954)

Sounds good, Diamond captured the mid 90's sound on this one, the MCs all do their thing, I like the scratching on the chorus. I would like to hear more posse cuts like this today and groups like the U.N.

I was starting to worry about other members of DITC who have become more low key since the 90's, I feel they should be out there more breaking new talent and providing beats. Buckwild seems to have progressed the most, judging from his recent work. I can't blame any veterans for slowing down, after a certain amount of years when other parts of life come into play.

I didn't know Diamond was on Swift.Fm, I'll check out that breaks mix. He comes from that line of traditional hip hop DJs people need to learn from. I've got a breaks set he did in '96 that I'll upload to my blog soon

yeah this shit is fucking ill, definitely captures a vintage '90s NY sound without sounding dated. Those drums when put with that nasty bassline goes HARD! D is still a top-10 producer
