you favorite artist, albums or songs that you bump when you chill or relaxing, some mellow shit. A couple of my favorites are:

d'angelo - brown sugar, J Dilla - The Shining, Erykah Badu - Worldwide Underground, 9th_Wonder_&_Jean_Grae_Jeanius, Jazz Liberatorz - Clin D'Oeil...

this thread should be put in the Sound Shack, it seems more appropriate outside of hip hop talk, good point of discussion though.

some of the best hip hop is made from the most soft, mellow jazz, R&B, soul songs through the art of sampling. Little do some hip hop listeners know that's what their hearing regardless.

Who said I preferred anything over anything? You're corny because you think anything that isn't hardcore rap is soft faggot shit. And for the fact you use 'rnb' as a term for everything that's sung. You're corny because you think Cannibal Corpse's "vocabulary , storytelling and the grammar is beyond greatness!"..

To sum it up, you're fucking corny and the rest of the forum obviously agrees. Go hide your gayness behind some "morbid stuff", faggot :)

Naw dawg , get your facts straight , I just consider rnb music and some pop singles gay....

Nothing wrong with Funk , House , Techno , Metal etc.

And yeah I do consider Death Metal lyrics beyond greatness, because they paint it so vivid ! You got a problem with insanity and morbidity? Better get used to it , because the world is full of it !

Hey serioussam, have you heard Ronny Jordan's "A Brighter Day" DJ Spinna remix feat. Mos Def? It's one of my favorite chill out hip hop songs, with nice live jazz guitar and a female vocalist singing.

then I would go to Ras Kass - Marinate (http://popup.lala.com/popup/576742240468210863), The Roots - Hypnotic feat. D'Angelo, Eric B & Rakim - Keep The Beat, Bahamadia - I Confess, and Ill & All Scratch - Where My Homiez for more smooth hip hop

De La Soul's "Buhloone Mind State" has some really relaxing shit on it with a lot of soul and jazz elements; there's even one track on there that's just strictly jazz, no hip hop, really tranquil and laid back stuff.

Another one I'd recommend would be Guru's Jazzmatazz releases. Smooth, relaxed and jazzy backdrops coupled with Guru's chilled vocals leads to a nice experience.
