a question about pc gaming...

I don't buy pc games. I tief them. But I've noticed that some games I have downloaded, Left for Dead for example, sometimes crash.

Is this because of the repack/ripping of the game? I don't think its my computer because I have a quad with a radeon 4850 and sufficient memory.

I was thinking that I should just buy some of the games I really like with this problem, but I want to make sure that the crashing is because they are tiefed versions.

Also, there are no viruses on my computer.

I'm not sure what tief'ing is. Forgive me. It could very well be the cause. It's really not that unheard of for PC games to crash on a capable computer. I would suggest trying forums related to the games you're having issues with to see if anybody else is having similar issues.
