I usually dont like Swedish Hip hop att all. Basically becuse i never did like the sound of anyone rapping in swedish. Although the songs posted in the thread were allt great. Probably becuse they're rapping in english. I am most definitely going to take on closer look on Promoe. That track was dope.

This is a old favorite btw:

Then I guess you haven't been out of your hotel room or you must have been staying in the woods! And even then you must have been bumped onto some Gorgeous Blondes at the airport or something....

Is it not popular to rap in Swedish, or are the dopest tracks in English?

Yeah it is, but people probably feel like the english tracks have more of an outside appeal. I don't know that much about swedish Hip Hop so you would probably be better off with an answer from someone swedish, but I can guess that their Hip Hop history is pretty similar to ours - in the earlier days english was the preferred language, then after awhile more and more people started "finding their voice" in their own language..

As for Swedish speaking rappers, I've always been a fan of Ken Ring,

Timbuktu have always been enjoyable, but is a bit hit/miss for me

And though I've never been a fan, Petter is probably the best known rapper in Sweden (or am I completely wrong here??)

Yeah same thing here in the Netherlands. Pretty much everyone used to rap in English in the 90's. Now hardly anyone does.

I had heard of Petter before but only because of the RZA collabo.

That 3rd Jonas V track sounds really dope.
