8/10, cool album.

10-07-2005, 09:59 AM
yep if illmatic did not exist this would be his best shit

10-12-2005, 10:49 AM
I cant say its his second best work. To me the problem is it shows NAS at different stage that he was going through, a little inconstient. Wasnt this supposed to be called D.O.E - Death of Esco

10-12-2005, 02:13 PM
Definately a classic...best work since Illmatic..."no idea's original" is enough to make ANY album a good buy...1ne.

10-13-2005, 09:54 AM
Dope shit I give a 9

This is reminiscent of "true" Nas. You know, Nasty Nas ;). It like dude got some of his essence back. I was proud of him for this right here. What can I say, I go hard for Nasir. He's my all time favorite emcee.

10-22-2005, 12:47 PM
I Gave It A 9
Couple Emotional Cuts Like "my Way"
Surprising That Some Of These Songs Were Left Out Of "i Am" And "nastradamus"

10-22-2005, 07:04 PM
i think this must be the only nas album without a skippable track since it was written, the lyrics are top notch

10-23-2005, 01:53 PM

third best album after illmatic and stillmatic, He should have put some of these tracks on the nastradamus album.

10-25-2005, 02:52 PM
...So hard to pic a favorite track off this album. Off hand, I'd have to say my 3 fav's are: "Blaze a 50" (one of the best story tracks imo), "Drunk By Myself", and...........damn, toss up between "Purple" and "Doo Rags"...

10-25-2005, 06:01 PM
9/10 dope as fuck

Snake In Eagles Shadow

really good album, but Illmatic and It Was Written was better to me. So it's the third best nas album to me. Which means it's a crazy album. Doo Rags and Purple was the best joints to me.

8/10 some pretty good joints in there like
blaze a 50
Doo rags
Drunk by myself

10-02-2007, 11:45 AM
10/10 from me.. i like this better than "stillmatic" and it really ain't that far from "illmatic" either. no filler, just solo nas with intelligent lyrics, crazy flows and laid-back beats. damn, some of these songs really puts me in the zone like "doorags" and "my way", nostalgic feeling...

10-02-2007, 02:48 PM
alleluyah that so many people feel this record, cuz yup, it's a classic...

Great album. Good music and it's not too long or short. The storytelling is very good on some of these tracks.
