The game returns to the roots of the Sonic series, and is strictly a 2D side-scrolling game rendered using 3D models; Sonic the Hedgehog will be the only playable character in the game. The game will be released in episodes, the first of which will be released in Summer 2010. The game is a direct sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles and will be playable in high definition on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

super sonic was the absolute dopest thing about any sonic that you played on cartridge. sonic 2 supersonic fucking MADE that game for me, that was the goal each of the ten gazillion times I played through it. I will think less of sonic 4 if they dont add in what made the past three sonics damn near infinitely replayable for me.

lol nigga, I found the Emeralds in no less than 3 mins on the Knuckles stages, Robot Battles were nice, sonic stages were crazy to fuck that nigga, that shit was hot....lol I got AAAAAA on every Hero mission (This was like in 6th/7th grade)

Oh yeah, I didn't mean that; I put in a lot of work to become super sonic back in the day. What I'm talking about is these new 3D versions where you have to push a lot of buttons to do a certain attack, I just can't be bothered with it.

That storyline was SICK back then, especially for a Sonic game.

Though I believe Sonic Heroes was passable, but the last ENJOYABLE Sonic game that didn't feel like I was playing shit was SAB2 no doubt.

Not impressed with the controls, or handling of sonic. SEGA fucked up with the walk/run speed. Spinball is fine, but he stops too often and jumps all retard-like.

The flow of the game is hurt by this.
