I figure i may as well start a thread for all discussion about these bands.

Say whatever you want about them and post favourite tracks.

Maybe tunes which weren't singles but you feel are just as great as their classics or Alt version, remixes, Dubs, 12" mixes etc. etc.

Cries and Whispers is on the Movement bonus disc, it was the b-side of Everything's Gone Green. The guitar is hypnotic.

This is an alt version of Ceremony also on the Movement bonus disc. I know nothing about it, it's kind of spacier than the other version.

True Faith is on Substance, always been one of my favourite New Order tunes

zzeNAUOp17c

Also on Substance (first on the Everything's Gone Green 12"), Mesh.

This is an alt version of She's Lost Control, i don't know where i got it from but i often play it over the original. Kind of highlights the prominent production on Unknown Pleasures. I remember in that JD documentary all of them saying how when they heard UP they wondered what happened to the guitars and drums (uh, or something to that effect).

The raddest Joy Division tune to me:

I included Electronic because... i don't, there must be some big Electronic fans i guess...

I only listened to their first album, it's not bad.

interzone was one of their carryover tunes from the warsaw days, iirc...i wish they had done studio versions of shit like 'ice age'

what's the name of electronics albums?

here are some of my favs, but by no means all

DROu5lwk0Ws

this is possibly the first track of NO's i heard in my mom's friend's car when i was a little kid lol

these tracks just feel foreboding and ominous, so i enjoy them a great deal lol

8ahU-x-4Gxw

to me this track captures this 'adolescent love in the summertime' vibe for me

there are too many great tracks tbh

Ah, Age of Consent is such a great track. The influence of Power, Corruption and Lies can be seen in so many indie bands of the 00's.

Angel Dust is great, Blue Monday is a classic of course.

Dead Souls i completely forgot about, such a great track.

Nice to see a tune off Technique Sid, my favourite off it would probably be:

2YveC8laqCs

Electronic's first album is self titled, as i said, i haven't heard the others.

Here's one of the few tunes i could find on youtube:

ePQpbdmqGKk

It's worth checking out, there are a few misses on it though.
