yeah, the radius is wrong. it is probably a bit smaller and the center should be farther north

The radius on that pic is misleading...I thought a larger area of US felt it...it would only be upstate NY and Vermont that felt it and some reports of Michigan and Ohio. Still nothing on a global stage since they happen every day but not many in this area.

The radius of the quake is 60 km northeast of ottawa and yea i felt that shit a good 30 seconds - the first 5 seconds thought it was a train - i was working in a house and the joists was creaking yo and my and i saw my work truck outside the window wobbling so i ran da fuck outside u heard the rumble of nature - never heard a deeper bass in my life... nothing major for damage but it shook the politickers literally =P

Cleveland, Ohio safest place in America

Lou Rendlein, Detroit Free Press

CLEVELAND, OH--

Clevelanders can boast that while industry is out, the economy is down and urban decay has been ravaging, the city is ranked number one in regards to safety from natural disasters. According to a study done by the University of Michigan, Cleveland will likely never be struck by any sort of catastrophic disaster. The study factored in hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and mudslides.

Don Peschek of GreaterClevelandNow was not surprised.

"Being a lifelong resident, really, the most you have to put up with is the bitter cold and the snow during the winter months. But other than that, which is dealt with in most of the midwest, the worst Cleveland will see is some minor flooding for residents close to the river banks and the occasional funnel cloud or sever thunderstorm."

Some city officials think this should be a key point in trying to recruit new business to the area. Others think it's not quite the selling pitch it may be made out to be.

"Look at Seattle, San Franscisco and Miami," Nell Paxton of cleveland.com said. "Volcanoes, earthquakes and hurricanes are not stopping the growth of those cities. What we have here in the rustbelt is poor economic planning combined with the flight of industry outside the country."

Still, you can bet that when the inevitable disaster does occur that Clevelanders will be sitting safely in there homes saying, "we told you so".

In an effort to build up resistance for when the war pops off, I have developed a rigorous program consisting of two-thousand and twelve chest-nipple-strengthening techniques.

It's the soft dudes with the tender chest nipples that's gonna be the first to die

The thunderstorms and the high winds last night were a blessing to me. Detroit didn't get any tornadoes, thank God.

i guess laroche is from around Barrie. The quake didnt cause damage there but in once place the tornado did some destroying....the tornado are also a rare occurrence in the area...not as rare as a quake but the twisters arent as common as in the midwest US.
