I was thinking about nas and how he seems to have been blessed with an ability to express himself in a clear and concise manner that i.m.o is second to none.

So in your opinion who do you think is the most articulate m.c in the game.

peace be with you !

Ras Kass of course. Ya, "Soul On Ice" Ras'. Every line is quotable and you are not only able to relate to what is being thrown at you, but you are also in amazement. But others would have to be- Gza (it's gza), Monch(stress:the extinction agenda for me), Redman( in a clever comedic/surrealistic way) O.C.(this dudes flow is smooth as fuck) and Kool G Rap. I know Kool G is not the most varied. He keeps the gangster stories one hundred percent of the time, but does he ever take a breath?

Here is part of a college lecture KRS One (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/01/audio-krs-one-live-at-southpaw-bklyn-1.html) did recently, teaching the fundamentals of hip hop. He's been a touring lecturer since the 80's, it shows his level of articulation is on another level than most MCs who only emulate the street intelligent persona he introduced on Criminal Minded.

Not many MCs can say they've stood in front of a college audience and teached, coming from being homeless and self educated. KRS (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/01/audio-krs-one-live-at-southpaw-bklyn-1.html) deserves much props for showing his intelligence and helping others.

BDP (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/01/audio-krs-one-live-at-southpaw-bklyn-1.html) - Edutainment July 17, 1990. I remember my fascination with this album in the very early 90's, the music was dope, but his teachings in between each during the lecture parts were a great inspiration to me.

I always admired her expression of the English language through hip hop (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/02/james-brown-one-of-hip-hops-greatest.html) lyricism, she pronounces her words well and has taken a reach toward high vocab. Wordplay is my song, off her 1st album Kollage:

"My aura is psychedelic flow non-prehistoric metamorphic boric like
acid no hat tricks a classic so park that ass like Jurassic and check
the matrix completed like 7 (seven) to overshadow the triple 6 (six)
complimenting zig-a-zicks with wisdom like the 5 percenters when doing
mathematics flips scripts like acrobatics intrinsic in rapping like
insulin to diabetics text is didactic with nutrience like muslix on
wax flex facts like hydraulics when vexed to catch flicks by Miramax
or Kodak I looks beyond the door like 100x for Wordplay...
Breaks out analogies like pollen do allergies got the vocab like the
Fugees to collect gees top Bill like Bellamy shocking hardcore headz
like electricity cuts come complimentary of jockey Sean-Ski yo vocally
BAHAMA-D be easy like Moe-Bee raps react radio act like DJ Ran and
Colby to the Roots like Malik B. flows pose as noise reduction on MCs
like dolby down by law like felonies catchy like T-B Essential to the
Elements like Ceceley with Wordplay ... "

The Guru (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/03/audio-guru-bald-head-slick-click-on.html) taught her well, glad to see him mentioned in this thread, he definitely deserves his props.

I guess there's no single most articulate, it depends on the person and how they hear each MC.

All the Beastie Boys are real insightful and intelligent guys, their music may portray them as a bunch of rowdy, party-animalistic whiteboys, but outside of it they are three really smart dudes. Check out some of their interviews or articles seeing as you "don't mess with white rappers" (pfft).
