07-04-2010, 06:08 PM
Leak coming soon, yall know how it goes, once snippets hit Amazon the LP leak is soon to follow.....
07-04-2010, 06:28 PM
^yep.....i wish they could have trag hop on....just dont think its possible tho
07-04-2010, 06:45 PM
Never say never.
CNN may already have a song that's mostly finished that Trag could drop a verse on.
I mean, it'd be a rush job, but at least it's something.
As I stated in another thread, it could be released as an itunes bonus or free DL.
And the album could possibly get a deluxe reissue in 2011, lots of artists have been doing that lately..

The streets have demanded it and now it's finally here!! The long awaited and highly anticipated follow up to their 1997 classic, 'The War Report', Queens Bred, Hip Hop duo Capone N Noreaga bring you T'he War Report 2'. CNN established themselves in the late 1990's a the voice of the streets, spitting gritty street corner commentary and giving the world a first hand look into the under belly of New York's ghettos. Now, a decade later, they're back to offer the same true life tales of struggle and victory. Partnering with the Wu-Tang's Raekwon the chef and his Ice H20 record label, The War Report 2 finds both Nore & Capone at the pinnacle of their lyrical prowess. The first single, 'Hood Pride' features Faith Evans and sets off a series of soon to be classic songs. Additional guest stars include the likes of Raekwon, Nas, The Lox and Busta Rhymes to name a few. Executive produced by Queens Bridge & Lefrack, Queens, the groups home town, Capone n Noreaga have maintained their positions as street generals and offer their listener an opportunity to experience once again, the real hip hop the game has been missing.

sounds fucking great...........but wheres tragedy....????????????!!!
07-04-2010, 07:13 PM
album does sound consistantly sick still wishing for T.O.N.Y. 2 but i guess like most albums these days they drop the best songs as itunes bonus tracks or whatever
i still dont understand why they didnt wait for tragedy to get out to make this album it seems like they wanted to make sure it was done and released just before he got out. he was slated to get out in like 2 months and actually ended up getting out early. oh well i'll probably cop this album as it does sound pretty good.
07-05-2010, 11:07 AM
this will be the first non-wu album i've bought in years
07-05-2010, 11:14 AM
I''m not gonna listen to the snippets. It'll make it that much better when I pick it up.
07-05-2010, 11:21 AM

"CNN may already have a song that's mostly finished that Trag could drop a verse on."
The CD drops in 6 days, I really doubt they have the time to write lyrics, perfect their verse on many takes in the studio, mix & master the track in time to squeeze it on the album in time for July 13
07-06-2010, 02:33 AM
I 'm guessin the albums gonna b pushed back, thats a good thing. Plus Trag said he got up with Paz.. another Khan joint fuks yeah son. Khadafi is rarely mentioned with the greats but yo is top 5 EVER hands down.
07-06-2010, 08:13 AM
no way this album will be pushed back
07-06-2010, 01:20 PM

Noreaga finally explains why Trag wasnt on the album. They had unused/unheard verses from him that they were planning on using for the album but they just didnt have his consent. Its why Nore pulled them off the album and waited for him to get out.
07-07-2010, 07:50 AM
^^^ you mean they couldnt have written him a letter asking for his permission? either way i'm not that upset over it at least they are not beefing again. it is just weird that they knew when he would get out and they still went and did the album.
07-07-2010, 10:32 AM
Also CNN got tony pt2 on the itunes version only! Go out and support #realhiphop on july 13th, the war gotta get reported! Rt this crack!

^^^^ nice!!!! too bad it's not on the actual album but at least we will get to hear it!!! I'll just burn my copy with that hotrock tagged on the end. And when the fuck is this leaking??? i'm copping regardless but i wanna hear this album NOW!!!!!
07-07-2010, 11:05 AM
I know i wish this shit would go ahead and leak but i don't understand why they couldn't put that shit on the physical copy as well
07-07-2010, 11:35 AM
ik this is kinda unusual....6 days b4 the release date and it hasnt leaked yet?.....thats good for them
07-07-2010, 11:41 AM
^^ it could also be bad at the same time. No leak closer to release date means not much demand for the album.
07-07-2010, 11:53 AM
didnt cuban linx 2 leak within the final week too?
07-07-2010, 12:03 PM
i felt like CL II leaked exactly a week b4.......which even that was good......cuz blueprint 3 leaked b4 CL II and they had the same release date
07-07-2010, 12:11 PM
most albums leak between 7-3 days before the release.
Shaolin Bloody Sword
07-08-2010, 03:16 PM
The album has not leaked yet? Today is the 8th.... Wow
07-08-2010, 04:59 PM
^^^ I know
detox is gonna leak before this joint!!!
07-09-2010, 05:54 PM
it's out now!!!!!!!!!
07-09-2010, 06:05 PM
it's out now!!!!!!!!!
awww man you beat me to it!!!!! I was just coming here about to spread the news. I havent heard it yet I'm about to hit the gym and listen while i push weight but one thing i noticed is they fucked up on the spelling of Raekwon on the album cover!
on the album cover it says REAKWON lol fuckin terrible
07-09-2010, 06:18 PM
I'm not listening to too much of this before I buy, from the lineup it looks like one of those albums I'll appreciate once it drops.
Producers: Alchemist; Araab Muzik; BT; Buckwild; Dreddy K. Amarae; Green Lantern; Hazardis Soundz; Kyze/Ace; M3; Neo The Matrix; Scram Jones; SPK; T. Heathcliff; The Bizness. I'm glad they're mixing newcomers with the vets kinda like Cormega did with his last album.

"I'm glad they're mixing newcomers with the vets kinda like Cormega did with his last album."
Umm what are you talking about? Born & Raised had nothing but LEGENDS in the rap game both guest/production wise. Minus the intro track which was co-produced by Bear One, everyone else is on that is a rap vet.
Production from Havoc, Pete Rock, Premo, Buckwild, Extra P, Lil Fame, Easy Mo Bee, DR Period, Nottz, LES & Ayatollah.
Guest spots from Havoc, Tragedy (which is criminal for CNN, if Mega can get consent from Trag to be HIS LP there is no excuse they couldnt either), Lil Fame and all the legends on the Fresh X.

with me sounds like it coulda been on the original war report

Ayatollah @ discogs: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Ayatollah

looks like a good enough mix of newcomers & vets to me...

"looks like a good enough mix of newcomers & vets to me..."
Ayatollah is a 10 year veteran producer by at least todays standards. Everyone else production wise are legends same with the guests. That shit aint no mix of new/old
