I like books.

Clockwork is really good. I think its one of those that are better than the movie due to more description. There is a whole extra story about Alex's cellmate before he went for treatment , they leave that story out in the movie.

I'll toss some books in here from time to time when I think of them. Here is a really good one.

I've been meaning to get ahold of A Clockwork Orange for awhile. Some of my favorite books are 1984 by George Orwell and Animal Farm by George Orwell. I just got finished reading Food of the Gods by Terrence McKenna. Pretty good read. I plan on reading Born Fi Dead: A Journey through the Jamaican Posse underworld pretty soon.

I read more fantasy than non fiction

Just finished this quartet yesterday good books especially first 2

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/dd/Hungrycitychronicles.jpg

Its good Young Adult fantasy, set in the future in a world where entire mobile cities are fighting static settlements in a semi post apocalyptic world

I prefered Animal Farm in many ways, because I think in 1984, it got very boring in parts with nothing really happening just George Orwell repeating the main characters thoughts

I agree. i had to get past the first three chapters or so before i was truly amazed by 1984. i was hooked on animal farm from the start. dead prez actually put me onto george orwell. after i heard animal in man i went and picked up an anniversary edition that included both books. at the time i hadn't even heard of 1984 but after i read it i was glad i picked it up.

oh now that right there is a nugget of gold my friend. I did not know that. wow.

makes you wonder why it was put out there publicly that "pee-wee" or the dude that played pee wee got caught beating off in that gay pron theater.

cuz usually actors can have stuff swept under the rug like that. its for a reason that you get exposed.

remember Eddie Murphy picking up a transvestite??? I mean he made it back on top but its like WTF??? couldnt his money cover that shit up.cmon now. hahahahahaha

i can't remember it off hand but it involves five boys and one girl. it's the part where they're going into the sewer for the first time to fight pennywise and i guess they figure it'll bring them all together so they all take turns on her lol. it's about 600 pages into the book if i remember correctly. the funny part is im pretty sure it's her idea. she just saw an opportunity and took it lol.

yeah man thats what made it kiddie porn

it didnt even have to be in there. they could have bonded over anything else.

it made me look at the movie in a whole new light.

she defiantly threw it out there too. and there was one cat that couldn't really even get hard for her but it's written of how she relaxes him.he was like the last one to go in her.

yeah this is like a what ? 1200 page book/ that is def in the last end of it like around 700 or so.

cause am interested in that sort of stuff and looks like a good book ay

Unveils the operations of the Mexican mafia and describes how it grew from a small clique into a transnational criminal organization.

Reviews

Rafael's debut book-a study of the Southern California-based Mexican mafia told mainly from the perspective of veteran Los Angeles deputy district attorney Anthony Manzella-is a revealing but flawed work. Despite occasional national headlines about drive-by shootings that claim innocent lives (including the granddaughter of an LAPD chief), most Americans are probably unfamiliar with the powerful, loosely organized street gangs that make up the Mexican mafia. Rafael does a workmanlike job of tracing the rise of these gangs, despite the occasional factual error (e.g., the RICO statute was used to indict criminal groups besides La Cosa Nostra before the Mexican mafia), but fails to dramatize his overly detailed account of Manzella's trials. Manzella is an interesting enough figure-a dedicated workaholic throwback who doesn't use a computer, or even an electric typewriter. But Rafael gives short shrift to the sociology of the rise of the Mexican mafia. Instead, he offers a final quote from Manzella ("We know exactly the kind of families that produce criminals. I'd like to go in there and take them out. But we can't do that') will leave many with a sour taste that undercuts Rafael's attempts to make the deputy DA a hero. This is not an easy read by any means and goes pretty deep into topics like neurology, nanotech, AI, genetics, and so forth. You may want to wait for the movie/documentary which is expected by the end of summer.

The author was the CTO of Intel at the time this book was published, but I think he holds a new title or career.
