a few months back reports this project was first presented on the net. this Duck Down release will be the follow-up to Skyzoo's debut album "The Salvation", one of the best LPs from last year, and will be fully produced by Illmind. now it's time for the first leak from "Live From The Tape Deck", the song is called 'Frisbees' and a video is due to be out soon as well.

I hope Illmind uses more samples in the production on this album, his synth beats usually bore me.

Sounds good, Skyzoo attacks the mic like he's got something to prove, the beat has the Illmind feel of darkness with the sound of a drum loop present.

I like the vintage synthesizer sounds of the beat, it sounds inspired by some obscure 70's rock or some soundtrack music from Tomita.

They are supposed to premier some songs off the new LP here in NY later this week at the Duck Down anniversary @ BB Kings, I hope I can make it.

^ sometime this fall according to wikipedia, so i don't think an official date has been set yet.

"The reason it's called "Live from the Tape Deck" is because when labels made cassette tapes, it just so happens that was when records were dope. Once the option of buying a cassette in a store was gone, that's when things changed and music got whack."

Dope. I'm still finding it hard to believe how much good music we've received this year so far. And to think there's still more to come is amazing.
