damn BLACK THOUGHT is on here!
fucking bugs me that it would say John Legend/The Roots Featuring Black Thought, wtf. Black Thought IS The Roots just as much as the others, actually more than most of them these days.

damn, i'm loving this "Hard Times" track. the crew really gave this classic Baby Huey song their own spin and Legend handles the vocal duties to perfection. For those of y'all who never heard the original song, you will still recognize big parts of the backdrop if you're a Wu-Tang head haha

^ true i have listened to all the leaks besides "Shine" so far and i like them all. I hope James Poyser is co-producing the album with ?uestlove and the others (sometimes Poyser is credited as a Root and he been working on most of their albums from "Things Fall Apart"). Poyser and ?uestlove is a deadly combination for this soul shit, together with Dilla and D'Angelo as The Soulquarian's they created timeless music for and with D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Common and Bilal. The duo of Poyser and Thompson actually produced, what i believe was, Al Green's latest album to great reviews.

anyone heard any other of John Legend's albums? i only heard some singles and of course alot of his guest spots which is usually spot on (for example check "Do You Wanna Ride?" from Jay-Z's 'Kingdom Come' album, prod. by Kanye). i know Kanye produced alot on his first album but i haven't peeped it, opinions would be appreciated!
