i've heard about this book for a long time and been wanting to check it out since then but have, despite this, yet to order it. the little i've read from him points to him being a good writer and a hip-hop historian, i believe he wrote the linear notes to the Ultimate Force's "I'm Not Playing" album which was an interesting read to say the least if you're a fan of Diamond D/DITC.

the book features interviews and in-depth track-by-track break downs of each song from 25 albums in hip-hop history that could be labeled as milestones or classics. so many of my favorites are talked about in the book according to Wikipedia, "Enter The Wu-Tang", "Mecca & The Soul Brother", "Firing Squad", "The Infamous", "Paid in Full", "Criminal Minded", "The Score", "Low End Theory", etc, etc. i love reading stuff like this too so i bet this book would be a perfect gift to myself. anyone read it?
