That Simliak Child was interesting to hear, I was in my very early teens the 1st time I heard it and it seemed to describe older females well. Dres had a way of describing encounters with females like no other MC in his writing, one of the things that make A Wolf classic to me.

This is light hearted and straight forward shit by a street dude from Brooklyn named FT, speaking on ups & downs with females. The beat is real mellow but banging, by Buckwild of D.I.T.C. (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/02/video-ditc-1992-backstage-interview-in.html). I think it's an underground classic

then check out joints like

K-Solo - The Baby That She Had Didn't Look Like Me
Organized Konfusion - Invetro
J-Dilla (http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2010/08/free-download-j-dilla-donut-shop.html)- Crushin'
Dr. Octagon - Girl Let Me Touch You
Pharoahe Monch - The Light
Jeru The Damaja - Me Or The Papes
The Roots - Break You Off
RZA as Bobby Digital - Love Jones
Little Brother - Whatever You Say
Elzhi - The Transitional Joint (Baby Girl Glow) http://ow.ly/2CJfv
Slum Village - Tell Me ft. D'Angelo

yessir! that "Problemz" song is one of my favorites too, Street Smartz/FT really describes problems with girlfriends or ex's very well and it's something that anyone could relate too. i know whenever i had trouble with some girl or it didn't work out that this is one of those songs that i appreciate to hear then. Buckwild did a great job with the production too.

Brandon, what did you think about Black Sheep's second album "Non Fiction"? i think it was a good follow-up altho very different in style and possibly a little too long, but i liked the jazz vibe of that album a lot.

thx man! peace
i think i misread the thread a little bit tho, cuz all the songs i posted ain't about girls but they are "feel good"/"non gangsta" tracks that easy to relate to for more people i guess.

Still haven't heard that thing in it's entirety, I don't know but I never got around to buying, maybe because it didn't have the type impact as A Wolf with the singles.

One of the things that made me buy the 1st album was the impact of Flavor Of The Month & The Choice Is Yours singles. I can only remember 1 single for Non Fiction which is North, South, East, West the Showbiz remix.

I heard Dres say in a recent radio interview that he had problems with the label for Non Fiction, here it is: http://media.blubrry.com/squeezeradio/squeezeradio.com/podcasts/AUG-5-2010wDresandDjSarahLove.mp3

I think I'll check it out after hearing him explain the situation behind that album. I remember being afraid that it would be a let down in comparison to A Wolf too.
