I've been meaning since today to check out "Perseverance", I made a thread last year asking the same multi syllable question and Percee P came up. I'm not all that into madlib beats, but still worth checking out.

Pharoahe's rhymes are original as fuck, but I don't see how he can compete with the greats when it comes to quantity or syllable count.

Mr. R&B

Necro deserves a mention here, even if he's heavily influenced by Kool G. Rap.

He's streches multisylaballic patterns out a lot longer than most of the MCs mentioned here (no disrespect intended).

Kool G Rap hands down. He basically invented the style.

09-21-2010, 04:12 PM
Can't choose between G Rap and Slim for my number one spot

I feel like I'm walking a tight rope, without a circus net
I'm popping percocets, I'm a nervous wreck
I deserve respect; but I work a sweat for this worthless check
Bout to burst this tech, at somebody to reverse this debt
Minimum wage got my adrenaline caged
Full of venom and rage
Especially when I'm engaged
And my daughter's down to her last diaper
That's got my ass hyper
I pray that god answers, maybe I'll ask nicer

Kool Genius:

the mac packing mc
with gats clappin like an mp
open your friendly wimpy
frame like an MD
blow you until your blocks windy
be on sort of a shot frenzy
my glocks don't stop till the cops hem me
put holy hollow tops in me
hazardous shit guns is accurate
sending niggas to meet the king of nazareth
playing me close has a risk
I bash cliques like they was massocist
pass the tear gas making them passifist
pass the fifth, one last kiss before your ass is missed, these bastards is getting clapped by this rap activist

after those I'd have Big L, Pharoahe Monch and Masta Ace

09-23-2010, 11:08 AM
Kool G. Rap started it all...

But I'd really have to go with Scaramanga AKA Sir Menelik AKA Cyclops 4000, then Kool G. Rap then Big Daddy Kane, then tied between Percee P and Tech N9ne then Pharoahe Monche then Eminem then Big Pun.

Scaramanga is too fucking crazy.

Some of the rappers some of you posted are very laughable...

what u mean by multisylbalistic?

Rhyme technique

In rapping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapping) and poetry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetry), multisyllabic rhymes (also known as compound[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-howtorap87-0)[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-1)[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-eminem17-2)[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-3) rhymes, polysyllable[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-howtorap87-0)[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-linda235-4)[6] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-hogg625-5) rhymes, and sometimes colloquially in hip-hop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip-hop) as multies[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-howtorap87-0)) are rhymes which contain two or more syllables[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-howtorap87-0)[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-yosh151159-6) (eg. “Touch her not scornfully, / Think of her mournfully”[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-yosh151159-6)).
Multisyllabic rhyme is used extensively in hip-hop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip-hop) and is considered a hallmark of complex and advanced rapping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapping)[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-7), and artists are often praised for their multisyllabic rhymes by critics[9] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-8)[10] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-9) and fellow rappers[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-eminem17-2)[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-10). This is in contrast to its use in the majority of other forms of poetry, where multisyllabic rhyme is rarely used, apart from in comic verse where it is used for comic effect[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-linda235-4) by poets such as Ogden Nash (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogden_Nash)[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multisyllabic_rhymes#cite_note-linda235-4) and Gerard Manley Hopkins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerard_Manley_Hopkins)

I never understand why Nas never gets mentioned in these lits.

To hold the mic I'm throbbin, mechanical movement
Understandable smooth shit that murderers move wit
The thief's theme, play me at night, they won't act right
The fiend of hip-hop has got me stuck like a crack pipe
The mind activation, react like I'm facin time like
'Pappy' Mason with pens I'm embracin

Yo, in a mahogany, black scenery
that was lightning and rain drops
I'm tied up in the basement cocaine spot like Bangkok
I'm blindfold, Vietnam type mind control this torture
His accent sounds like the rarest culture
Askin me, my atrophy stabbin me gradually
Says his attribute, was satanic, masonic, ironic
I felt reminded of my fast life ventures
and winters, blinded til the flashlight enters
