So I'm still trying to figure out how to get this stupid blog shit to work the way it's supposed to...maybe this will stick.

I hate the internet. How odd is that? A meduim with the potential to connect every person on the planet, a global marketplace capable of offering me almost any product or service imaginable...this is evil. Well, not really. Maybe I'm just a little jaded. Have you read "McWorld vs. Jihad"? Don't let the title fool you, it's about economics/politics. Good read. Kinda dry though.
I miss the fact that once upon a time, you had to talk to people. Typing words at folks around the globe is cool, but I know the kind of impact I have on people in RL and it's hard to bring that across in cyberspace. Body language, facial expressions, and vocal tone are the majority of communication, and this medium takes all that away. The average person barely skims what they read (I'm guilty of doing this too!) and we only half listen to what others tell us (cuz we're so busy waiting to say what ever it is that buzzes around in our craniums that we just don't really LISTEN), so how am I to communicate effectively with my fellow humans?
lol.
If you tell me the sky is blue and I disagree, am I crazy? U might think so, but I'd have one question for you: what is the sky made of?
RZA said on the Wu Forever cd that most won't understand because they were not meant to. What's your percentage?

Black Thought is so underrated. Since 93(?) he's been blazin as the lead vocals for the collective of The Roots. To be honest, I just got up on them when they put out What They Do (the video was a great parody) and the first album I bought was Game Theory (I had the album with Don't Say Nuthin, but it disappeared...) and I just got Rising Down. This shit is FEEEENOMINAAAAAAAL. One question: why all of a sudden are there so many guest spots?
Either way I love it. Much more listenable than my bootleg copy of Carter 3.

I wonder why so many are stuck on Lil Gayne on this site? There are legions of artists out there that exhibit mad talent, but the most talked about rapper now is not Nas, Black Thought, or even Jay-Z.
Lil Wayne.
The majority has spoken. Their messiah has been recognized. The slimmer elements of the population overstand this point, but I wanted to be kinda obvious today.
It gets tedious when you have to tone shit down for others. I'm not a recognized genius by any means but don't get it twisted, my blade is sharp and my wrists are strong and swift. Is it that hard for people to LISTEN AND THINK on what's actually bein said? It must be. In so many conversations some will hear what they want to hear instead of what is expressed exactly and all types of misunderstandings occur. I know you've had this happen to you before.
If it's so hard just to comprehend what's bein said in everyday convos how can we expect some to grasp anything more complicated than, say, Souljah Boy or D4L?
Music (much less life!) is not easily explained in layman's terms. So much is lost in translation on both ends it almost negates the purpose. The bridge for this gap is education and sadly we seem to be lacking that in our society.
I don't mean diplomas or sheepskins either. I didn't graduate high school (I was a credit short cuz classes I took in other states didn't count in IL, my family is retired Navy) but I got 2 GEDs in the joint (ironic that I scored better the first time around) and I took a few college courses, but this means nothing.
My mind is a ravenous beast. I will read anything I can get my hands on and I'm not afraid to ask qustions.

PRO: I'm called smart (a sometimes-needed ego boost), and my cipher continues to build solo

CON: none of my acquantances get anything i spit and I get tired of dummin shit down.
------------ ^^ ------------- ^^
c'mon.
U can't tell me that it frustrates you sometimes that when you discuss music with friends they argue that Jay is the greatest and look at you crazy when you say that Mef could slay him if he wanted to.
and that's just music.
math, metaphors, solomon's logic applied today, or even Job's strength of character are not subjects I can discuss with the individuals I associate with on a regular basis.
not complainin tho.
It just lets me know that I am on the right path and that my choice was correct is keeping my circle small.

ChristO in the house, once again. yeah, black thought is one of the dudes that managed to come up in my circle of peers. beanie sigel too, yeah. I heard I went to school with these dudes, was several years under me though. my boy don said used to have them dudes freestyling in his spot together, back when they was teens.
the Game Theory cd, cover design and such, got a message to it for the game.
yeah, I talks how I talks, same as how I post on threads.
as far as that dude li'l Wayne, look, I wasn't knocking youngin'...until a certain point. where dude had the mark of the beast tattooed on his face so blatant and such. that whole situation, look, I seen how it came about, here where I'm at. if I can get biblical, say, the sweat of [satan] and the tears of judas iscariot, combined. when I mentioned to twin [jacob] not to sweat. and I ain't at liberty to discuss the cd that's been out in the market officially since about 2006, but the pandora's box will be coming to a close, and by the beginning of 2010, the situation is sealed completely.
anyway, I figure I run into the bul Malik B. again when he's back on his feet. I dropped him a cd of mine, last time I seen the bul. just on the humbug.

jada was a sneaky dude about his spit. beans caught onto it but ain't really see where he could get at jada until certain shit came to light, like a article in the source I think, where dude was allegedly quoted saying suh'm slick about philly, was prah'ly under-handed move on certain artists in particular [murder mils, wiz gambino, etcetera]. I mean, I seen it that way. but also a chisel at any solidarity the city mighta' presented, on behalf of its own.
before that though, beans be coming through my people's airbrush shop [Positive FX], letting 'em know like jada and 'em was scared of him, this-and-that, that-and-this, had 'em going back to the lab re-writing they shit, things like that.
now, later on down-the-line, when beans finished his bid in jail, he spit he "puttin' the roc' down" in the kiss ya' ass goodbye remix, ain't really observant of the rules, about how you expose ya'self to enemies when airing out family business in that manner.
so, that cameo on the jada remix was business, him collabing on a jada song, after the differences and hard words. shii, beans ain't see what I seen, while he was off the streets. but, so it ain't up to them to squash that, right. even though they themselves might be past that.
bigger flowing waters. ill. right, so beans can't just jump back on the roc like he picking up from where he left off. where's the activity that is evident in the time lost. like, as if dude screaming me out [can't wait for the seven to replace the six] and I'm from where he's from. but that's another subject.
back-on-track with it, yeah, true, beans talented. yeah, too real is the word. 5% actually summoned dude to come out. from what I heard since at least 1993. he'll let you know in his spit game, to some extent, from what he know to get through it. I recognize bul to be one of the 144,000, but the skin [cell] he in now too dense, was only built for s.p. [south philly]...like how he come out with some idea for s.p. [state property] gear...to get s.p. behind it? or how I had to cross out the ghost [s.p...styles p] for postin' anywhere near me, 'cause beans was drawin' and they don't know me or the real philly like that.
anyway, jada got a way to go.
