So I'm still trying to figure out how to get this stupid blog shit to work the way it's supposed to...maybe this will stick.
I hate the internet. How odd is that? A meduim with the potential to connect every person on the planet, a global marketplace capable of offering me almost any product or service imaginable...this is evil. Well, not really. Maybe I'm just a little jaded. Have you read "McWorld vs. Jihad"? Don't let the title fool you, it's about economics/politics. Good read. Kinda dry though.
I miss the fact that once upon a time, you had to talk to people. Typing words at folks around the globe is cool, but I know the kind of impact I have on people in RL and it's hard to bring that across in cyberspace. Body language, facial expressions, and vocal tone are the majority of communication, and this medium takes all that away. The average person barely skims what they read (I'm guilty of doing this too!) and we only half listen to what others tell us (cuz we're so busy waiting to say what ever it is that buzzes around in our craniums that we just don't really LISTEN), so how am I to communicate effectively with my fellow humans?
lol.
If you tell me the sky is blue and I disagree, am I crazy? U might think so, but I'd have one question for you: what is the sky made of?
RZA said on the Wu Forever cd that most won't understand because they were not meant to. What's your percentage?

"Be careful what you wish for..."
I know all of you have heard this one before (and been knocked out by it). I just got bit in the ass with this one.
To keep myself from doin shit I don't have any business doin I got a job at a company called AfterHours. Not a strip joint. It's a tux rental. Believe it or not I just fell into the shit.
I was workin at macy's? carson's? some dept store joint and one of my ex's friends told her about an interview (the manager was his buddy and was just gonna give him somethin to do for the summer) he had something else to do and I went instead. Been doin this shit for three years now. Easiest job I've ever had.
Men's WearHouse just bought our company in Jan and I switched stores (transfer with promise of promotion...yippee.).
Gravy right? Naw.
I'm the only brother in the store.
It's bad enough I gotta shuffle and put the diction on em (you should see their faces when I shine on em!lol) but now it's worse: I just bought my first suit today.
As an aside, a little about me:
I got suspended from seventh grade cuz I wrote an essay on the black man's superiority based on a book by Anthony Browder. I'm not racist, just prejudiced; I prefer colors other than pink. I just began to practice being nonjudgemental based on one's skin tone alone, but it's hard after doin it for so long. Even though this is supposed to be America, there are many cultures rubbing elbows (I'd rather rub my own most of the time; my circle is small) and being immersed in this white business culture is trying at times.
And now I dress like a corporate stooge at work, at a job I've earned and many would be happy to have during these tryin times...and I'm complaining. WTF!?
This job was supposed to be a steppin stone for me to put my wife (now ex) thru school so she could get her career started, then I'd be able to get my degree. Now Majesty is the motivation (my daughter is named Majesty). I've been workin on the same multimedia project for two years and I'm not even close to bein done with it.---I can't draw or program but i wanna do it as a game and graphic novel series. I need to finish writin it so I can get it illustrated and all that other shit, but I been consumed by music.
I don't even wanna be a rapper but this shit keeps callin me man, it keeps callin me. LOL
It's whateva tho.
I'm gonna look at is as me gradually widening my creative circle in all directions at once and just stay focused on my goals.
I am not alone.
There are many others all workin for the good of the Wu-Tang...
