So I'm still trying to figure out how to get this stupid blog shit to work the way it's supposed to...maybe this will stick.

I hate the internet. How odd is that? A meduim with the potential to connect every person on the planet, a global marketplace capable of offering me almost any product or service imaginable...this is evil. Well, not really. Maybe I'm just a little jaded. Have you read "McWorld vs. Jihad"? Don't let the title fool you, it's about economics/politics. Good read. Kinda dry though.
I miss the fact that once upon a time, you had to talk to people. Typing words at folks around the globe is cool, but I know the kind of impact I have on people in RL and it's hard to bring that across in cyberspace. Body language, facial expressions, and vocal tone are the majority of communication, and this medium takes all that away. The average person barely skims what they read (I'm guilty of doing this too!) and we only half listen to what others tell us (cuz we're so busy waiting to say what ever it is that buzzes around in our craniums that we just don't really LISTEN), so how am I to communicate effectively with my fellow humans?
lol.
If you tell me the sky is blue and I disagree, am I crazy? U might think so, but I'd have one question for you: what is the sky made of?
RZA said on the Wu Forever cd that most won't understand because they were not meant to. What's your percentage?

Can I get a Letter?

Posted 04-14-2009 at 01:38 PM by BornPower
I'm constantly surprised by the ignorance of others. I shouldn't be; my parents used to tell me that common sense wasn't common at all. I don't knock kings that deal with ignorant queens (how can I when mine boasts that she's so hood and a thug to boot?) but it's an excercise in patience. How can you overstand the kernels I'm trying to feed you if the written word is foreign to your mentality? KNOWLEDGE IS FREE. So what if you've been to college? Knowing how to spit nonsense to your so-called professors...

Knowledge and Wisdom

Posted 02-06-2009 at 01:29 PM by BornPower
Since being introduced to Supreme Mathematics I have been steadily applying the scientific principals to my life. My wife has no idea what to make of this. I used to be a lazy man that broke his word on a whim and I took no responsibility for the things going on in my home. Now that I am acting in accordance with the principals of Mathematics, she seems to have an issue with it. I now hold her and myself for the words of our bonds and I make it a point to share today's math with her. When I hold...

Bu-Xi

I thought I knew what boogie was, but I was wrong.
I was walkin downtown and I happened to be walking next to this woman that reminded me of one of my exes (short, dark, top heavy, jamaican-lookin, SEXY!). I didn't say anything to her, but she kept giving me the eye. She eventually stopped me a light and asked for directions to some place on sixth and State. I tell her how to get there and we end up talkin. Turns out she's from Kansas(?) and ended up in Chicago after she passed the bar. She's...

Rootz

Posted 06-18-2008 at 04:55 PM by BornPower
Black Thought is so underrated. Since 93(?) he's been blazin as the lead vocals for the collective of The Roots. To be honest, I just got up on them when they put out What They Do (the video was a great parody) and the first album I bought was Game Theory (I had the album with Don't Say Nuthin, but it disappeared...) and I just got Rising Down. This shit is FEEEENOMINAAAAAAAL. One question: why all of a sudden are there so many guest spots?
Either way I love it. Much more listenable than...

American Shaolin

Posted 06-15-2008 at 01:34 PM by BornPower
I just reread this book I bought a few months ago (I read so many books, I reread them later and it's almost like the first time. how many? I can read a 400 page book in a few hours...do the math) called American Shaolin. This white boy gets into an Ivy League school and drops out to travel to Xiaolin to study kungfu.
I learned that kungfu was actually developed as a sort of exercise for the monks so that their muscles wouldn't turn to mush (like our cubicle dwellers do) but now the emphasis...
