I haven't seen Pay it Forward but I agree with the rest. And L.A. Confidential.

Glengarry Glen Ross, but American Beauty is also one of my all time favourite films. Very hard to choose between those 2.

Gotta say he was really great in K-PAX, although many critics and fans didn't seem to enjoy that movie.

Oh shit I forgot about KPax. I like that movie too because of the story. It remineded me of Starman

The storyline for K-PAX was a step outside my comfort zone of movies to watch. However, I'm glad many of you pointed this movie out. This movie and Kevin Spacey's role was really interested up until the ending which I thought was a let down.

I also watched Glengarry Glen Ross but I must of zoned out during the tail end of the movie because it ended and I hadn't a clue what the point or conclusion to the movie was. I had thought Ed Harris' character was going to pull the robbery for the sales leads. Did the movie turn into a game of Clue where we actually don't know who did it? I was quite surprised when Al Pacino appeared in this flick. Anyways, someone fill me in because I don't think I want to watch it again.

I didn't think the ending of K-PAX was bad at all. Some mysteries are unsolvable, especially through human eyes. Still to this day I wonder, was he or wasn't he? To have that kind of influence years later really says something about the picture. Life is a mess, and not all problems are solved cleanly and conveniently, wrapped up in a pretty bow. That's why I admire the movie. If the ending solved the mystery with a cliche as most movies do, I don't think I would have liked it nearly as much.

^ Valid point. The fact that he blew the minds of the astronomers was a mystery.
