Introduce Me To Photoshop
As we speak, I am downloading Photoshop. Can you guys hook me up with tools I might need, tutorials maybe, fonts, anything that you think will help me get rolling. Good looking, I've already got a dope idea for an album cover I'm about to make.
|
can you download that shit for free? i got a trial version of adobe on my computer and want the realness
also some of you people with the photoshop skills ought to get jobs as graphic artists - in the field that i work there are graphic artists that have careers and salaries from knowing how to do layout work, it's a valuable skill (and something i needs to learn as well), easy |

Thanks Thanatologist, looks good. And thanks for your support BigBen. I'm very excited about my first work, I have it all mapped out, I just need to fool around with Photoshop till my ideas come to life. Any other tips/suggestions/tutorials/programs/etc. would be much appreaciated.

aight, i'm starting off, and got a lil done tonight for my cover. tell me what you guys think, keep in mind that it's only like 1/3 done, and this is my first work ever on photoshop.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...pg89/cover.jpg things i need some help on: how do i get the colors the exact same? as you can see i have a couple different shades of yellow sharpening...i know that sticks out as the worst thing about this, help please. any other comments, suggestions, tips? be kind...this is my first. |

great razorsharp, thanks.
any suggestions on my first work (above)? |
name written in qtips is the dopeness.

yea I like that too. I feel like the square in Q might be a little too big though, I'll have to shrink that down. I plan to put like 11 more pictures of Tip's face. I just need to work on the sharpening, it's making it look sloppy...Still, I think it's pretty good for my first work. I'm obviously trying to base it off this:
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...d1665010.L.jpg notice the kinda um...what's the right word..shadowed (?) faces in the background? Like the light faces behind the main faces. Can anybody tell me how to do that? Maybe I'll make the background faces black and white...hmmm...I don't really want them to stand out, I just need them to spice up the background a lil bit. Also, I'd like to sharpen and brighten the borders a bit. Any tips or help would be much appreciated. |
ok...not bad for ya first
to get shadow u will select the face layer and then hit the "F" looking symbol thats on the layer palette and hit drop shadows and fool around with shit there... peace FAM |
this is a project i just finished for school. we had to hand draw a nascar car (i convinced him to let me use photoshop) with 15 sponsors on the side panel and a hood. the rims are sloppy, but other than that i think it's nice for my first completed work.
