Classic. I got the reissued version of this album and there's a videos dvd that comes with it that has the videos that were from this album. Nothing But A G Thing video is a classic. It's a shame that Dr Dre hasn't released more solo albums. It's also a shame how Death Row records fell off because the record label was very successful in the early 90's. If Suge Knight hadn't been ignorant, i believe Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Daz and Kurupt, Rage, Nate Dogg would've stayed. Suge should've released Dr Dre and Ice Cube's Helter Skelter album.

West coast classic

TAURO 09-28-2007 09:59 AM

I love this album, a classic in my book.

easily one of the greatest records of all time, not just one of the greatest hip hop records but one of the truly incredible albums in music in general. look at the source's definition of 5 mics and you'll find a picture of the album cover

BRONZBODY 09-30-2007 10:53 PM

anyone that says this is not a classic is a FUKKIN IDIOT!!

claaa7 10-01-2007 01:26 PM

of course it's a fucking classic 5/5... in my opinion "2001" was even better though.

Razorsharp 10-01-2007 01:32 PM

classic... represents west coast to the fullest...

damn i remember when it first came out i was like 5... i still remember watching "nothin but a g thang" and "fuckin wit dre"

never gets old, a true classic of hip hop, i hope 'detox' sees the light of day soon though

DrUnK-N-MuNkY 10-01-2007 05:35 PM

" damn things done changed on this side
remember when they use to thump but now they blast right"

just recognized Biggie sampled that line

Kenny Powers 10-01-2007 06:05 PM

i acknowledge it as a classic album in hip hop history, but its not really my style. Im not into that funky sound

baritone 10-07-2007 11:35 PM

arguably, the greatest produced album of all time

5 mics off production alone

claaa7 10-08-2007 12:14 PM

am i the only one feeling that "2001" was even better produced.. as far as lyrics "the chronic" was the better album though. both are easily 5 mics..
