Obcl Rae Vs Immobilarity Rae Vs Watch Your Mouth Rae
Personally although OBCL was a classic, my favourite Rae style was around the time after Wu tang forever to the time he made immobilarity. The song 100 rounds epitomises his style at the time. No one was or is rapping this creatively. Which Rae era was king?

Rae alone in New York
|
My favorite rae is his style from older godZ
|
OB4CL rae. no question.
|
IMO Immobilarity Rae = the winner.... everything recorded '96-'99, was like, WOW
that's why we consider him great...not that he was wack elsewhere...but that time....damn...Rae was the Man |
well,
Nas shitted on the cuban linx rae (verbal intercourse) then i heard Casablanca which shits on a lot of nas. so using nas as a measuring bar, i'd say Immortability, though i haven't heard the whole album i really like the new rae though, the watch your mouth is a bad example of the new rae. bbadddd example. |
the BEST rae was on "the monument" from the W.
he just explodes on that track and has so much charisma. "im the emperor of warlords, big guns, only fuck wit sawn offs....." |

i love IMMOBILARITY RAE the best. For me OBFCL was a Wu lp not a Rae lp. it was more suited to Rae's mafia style but i give RZA more credit that Rae. Don't think Rae was that amazin on the LP plus Ghost outshined him in every sense.
He was amazin on IMMOBILARITY though although it was an inferior LP. Watch you mouth style is nothing memorable at all apart from one bar. the 'peed on' bar |
It still pisses me off that people think Ghost outshined Rae on OB4CL
|
I think his verse on Watch Your Mouth fits the vibe of the song perfectly, if he spits like that on an upbeat track it wouldn't work. So ill have to hear the whole album before judging.
|
I vote Wu Tang Forever/The W Rae
|
Ironman Rae. That was his pinnacle. Then Immobilarity Rae. Then OBFCL Rae.
Go listen to Black Jesus. Rae was a beast back in 96. |
