skits=album killers?
some can be funny occasionaly (rare), and some can even drop some knowledge (very rare), but for the most part skits are incredibly lame and unnecessary.

for instance, that skit at the end of come get me, 'hydro drops' that shit's mad lame.

Re: skits=album killers?
skits IMO have little to no effect in an album
first couple times i listened to Clientele i didnt skip a track because theyre pretty good skits
the Ironman theme song intro, the "wu-tang clan and ironman" singsongs, the basehead skit, the 'who would u fuck?' skit, and of course the Clyde Smith outro (u know....where he talks bout 50 an watever)
pretty good skits that compliment the album big time IMO....but of course these days i find myself skipping most of em
dont let skits get in the way of ur listening experience

No way. Striving for Perfection and Shark Biters are classic skits.

I love skits they add color to an album, but you can tell when someones album isn't strong when they have skits to fill space

Re: skits=album killers?
thats more what i was getting at^

some contribute to the album but when theyre on there for filler its pretty pathetic

What about the skits before Glaciers of Ice, Spot Rusherz and Wu Gambinos??? I agree that the others r dope but these are just senseless.

Re: skits=album killers?
"ayo meth where my killa tape at?...............niggas came over 40s and blunts son.."

hahahaha not technically a skit but that one's probably my favorite.

some are good, most i would be glad to see go. like on beneath the surface, they dont do anything for me. the record label one is true and all i guess but i dont care for it

Re: skits=album killers?
skits are trash. if an artist wants to make the total album time longer, take out the skits and let the beat play out longer after the verses. fuck skits.

Re: skits=album killers?
Some skits are good most are awful

Supreme Clientele the basehead skit is awsome, where my killa tape is classic too

Re: skits=album killers?
Fuck a skit. Most are useless and fuck up the flow of the LP. Just give me the music

Re: skits=album killers?
maybe the most skits are wack but listen to redmans skits and then come tell me skits are useless

Re: skits=album killers?
depends on how they are used like on de la soul's - 3 feet high and nwa's - niggaz4life the skits were well used and give the album a kind of continuation to keeps the listener tuned

Re: skits=album killers?
when its done well a skit can add alot to the album but when not done well they mostly suck

T.H.O.M.A.S. Man 06-13-2005 10:51 PM

Re: skits=album killers?
when they offer a good transition between songs they help, but most try to be funny and end up being mad lame
