Second Roots of Evil... lyrically it is one of the best albums I've heard and the beats are pretty solid Hell On Earth type cinematic mafia bangers.

I actually think INS came through with the nicest verse on "Let My Niggas Live".

Drug drought got ya huntin' for crumbs stuck to the razor"

Having my teaching assistant in grade four lend me Tical. I wasn't crazy about it at the time, but when Forever came out I checked it out for the fuck of it and the rest is history. Keep in mind I...

If you look in the booklet it is clearly credited to True Master and ODB. It doesn't really sound like any of the RZA beats on that album either.

The new world order has already happened - it is called globalization. It is no secret and not so much a "conspiracy" as it is blatantly out in the open. The only thing popular rappers have to do...

I think 8 Diagrams was a great progression for the group and production-wise pretty much flawless front to back. It didn't have that 'pass the mic' feel of prior releases, but the lyrics were for the...

It depends on how narrowly you define "making sense". I personally think all the verses on Forever, SC, etc. make some sense, you've just gotta not expect it to be delivered conventionally. This...

I think Wu's group albums have all been at least solid. I love the first three, don't mind Iron Flag and think 8 Diagrams is super underrated. The solo albums, with the exception of Ghost and No Said...

This album is pretty solid. In some ways better than BDR just cause it's a fresh style for him. BDR was rehashed and boring. I dug More Fish a lot though, underrated joint.

Way better than the first album. His flow is pretty good - not the most nimble rapper, but he gets the job done and occasionally KILLS IT.

New Eyedea & Abilities is better than this for sure. A couple of tracks are alright, but he simplified his flow and a lot of the beats sound tacky and thrown together. And I like Hatebreed!

I saw RZA last year during Canadian Music Week, and he did this Q+A session at the Royal York where he talked a bit about The Cure. I recall him saying it would be his final solo album.

His delivery ain't what it used to be, but the lyrics are still hot. I always liked his raspy yell from back in the day. Either way, laid-back Rae is still better than most other rappers.

I remember hearing their first record and not really feeling it, but that 9/11 conspiracy one they did was fire. Some great appearances on that first JMT album too.
