You just think it's separate because other's religions and philosophies stirred confusion and made it look absurd for you to think you simply don't exist after your physical disappearance.

i think that if we were isolated from science religion and philosophy and left to ponder our existance, i think the longest jump would be to the scientific theory. to believe that what "makes you you" is nothing more than a collection of electrical impulses and chemical reactions is absurd.
