this is an old piece

*An Unnecessary Tragedy

A child left alone to roam with no place to call her own
a heart once warm-now broken, cold and hard like stone
love is something she’s never known,
so her feelings of hatred are full blown
misguided, pride subsided, bitter and cold to the bone
the place she once called home, forgotten, only memories of her past life
enveloped in a cyclone of self destruction, grief and strife
she walks the streets and leaves behind her own trail of tears
facing obstacles while climbing hills, burdened down with anguish and fear
her pain is so severe that she wishes she could disappear
the code of the homeless are the only rules to which she’s ever adhered
stuck in a cycle of the surreal,
a relentless wheel unable to persevere
with a hunger that can’t be concealed,
a life of crime and prostitution beginning to have more appeal
in the face of danger, she’s transformed into a woman of the night
a dreadful plight that puts humiliation within her line of sight
cohorts filled with spite,
shame extinguished her light
malevolent thoughts now replace her previous feelings of fright
consumed by immorality
no sense of rationality
acts of brutality have forever altered her personality
coupled with a mentality that stemmed from her venality
a new statistic since the breakdown that caused her current state of duality
multiple personalities
they now mask any trace of previous originality
her fatality a sad reality ... as I read about her life
learning through this paper that she was a beloved daughter, mother and wife
words of sorrow so consice, but who pays the ultimate price?
should’ve, could’ve, and would’ve-too late, they simply won’t suffice
some words of advice ... we should all think twice,
before passing judgment on a person without knowing the story of their life
see, the words you say today could possibly save someone tomorrow
lift them out of their sorrow
so in grief and despair they won’t wallow
maybe even swallow ...
the pride that might lead to a rash decision
and enable them to envision,
hope, with a great desire for livin’
instead of the condemning darkness of a self contained prison ....

we all need to be aware of the power of our words!

I sew...
beautiful seeds that sprout flowers that’s deeply rooted
your weak style-diluted with concepts that’s so polluted
my words flourish, creating jewels the conscious will cherish ...
