This is actually one of the best threads I've seen on here in awhile. It makes sense. Many people are scared to face the answers to the questions. Some of the universal questions have been answered. The "why" questions are hard to answer.
Are you in the SF Bay Area? I grew up in Marin City, just on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge from SF.
