Just for clarity you do realize that Hellas is a country right while the state is the Hellenic Republic? There's no such thing as Greece. That's the English approximation of the Roman word for a tribe of people in Italy that spoke a Hellenic dialect.
State: A nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government.
And that California is also a country and a State?
Country: An area or region with regard to its physical features.
For example:
The
Nation are the
Americans.
The
Country is
America.
The
State is the
United States of America.
So you are a member of the American Nation, you live in America, and you are a citizen of the United States of America and more specifically the State in which you live.
