It does seem like a lot of music genres were started by black people. But everybody takes from older music and builds on it. So you can either believe Elvis was a shameless exploiter of black music, or a creative guy that had a big part in creating rock and roll by marrying the blues to country music.

It works the other way too, disco was a black genre influenced as much by euro pop as soul. And think of all the samples hip hop took from white music through the years, theres definitely a little white rock music in hip hops dna.

Anyway what weird subject matter do white rappers have?!
